Flavor Physics from Quantum Entanglement?
Jesse Thaler,
Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
Understanding the flavor structure of quarks and leptons is a longstanding question in particle physics. In this blackboard talk, I report on a surprising connection between flavor mixing angles and quantum entanglement. Specifically, I show how CKM-like and PMNS-like mixing matrices can be derived from minimizing flavor entanglement in elastic two-to-two electroweak scattering.
The talk is in 469 Lauritsen.
