Semiclassical Amplitudes and Black Holes
Donal O'Connell, Edinburgh University,

In recent years, ideas from quantum field theory, including effective field theory and the on-shell methods of scattering amplitude, have been successfully applied to classical gravitational-wave physics. In this talk, I will show that these ideas can easily be extended to the semiclassical case of Hawking radiation. I will further discuss what we learn about the relevant amplitudes along the way.

The talk is in 469 Lauritsen.
