Entanglement entropy in the BFSS model and noncommutative geometry
Joanna Karczmarek, University of British Columbia,

I will describe entropic quantities in the BFSS matrix model that are possibly dual to areas of minimal surfaces in the corresponding holographic geometry.  Understanding how to define and compute such quantities could be an important step to understanding how space emerges from this matrix model. I discuss how to test the plausibility of some proposals using solutions to the BFSS model with an emergent noncommutative geometry.
